Hilltop Racing Stables
James Mc Auley is the trainer at Hilltop Racing Stables. He has been trainer here since he took
out his licence in 2007. Since then he has trained a number of winners and placed horses. He
has had winners under both codes Flat and National Hunt.

His biggest win to date has come at Thurles were Gaspar made all in the Phil Sweeney  Memorial
Chase (Grade 3). In that race Gaspar beat Preists Leap winner of two Thyestes Handicap Chase
(Grade A),Vintage Treasure Winner of 4 Races, Sabina Park Group placed Mare & Gemini Lucy
Group winning Mare and winner of £143,434.

Since James became trainer in 2007, Hilltop Racing Stables has been run as a private training
establishment for owner James Gough. This year the trainer has opened Hilltop to the public
and has been looking for new owners. He has already managed to attract several and is looking
for more.

James say's "This season will hopefully be a good one for me and the team. We have a lot of new
younger horses in training. Some of the older horses have had problems and have been very hard
to train. We will be Point to Pointing more often this year and I'm really looking forward to the
season ahead. The Hilltop Racing team will be looking for a lot more winners this season."
